A hobby shop website by the name of !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is hosting a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! A friend of mine and myself have been working on our entry. On a small pass in the street in front of his house, we got 119mph with only giving it full throttle for about a quarter of a second, with no aero, no nothing. We planned on trying it again at an access road behind the local IKEA factory. The results, however, were not pretty. We are estimating the car was going between 50-60 mph before we lost radio signal and it veered into a pole. We have no way to tell, since the cell phone we were using to log top speed via GPS was launched over 100 feet away from impact.
I have much to do today in terms of New Years Eve functions, but I wanted to post some preliminary footage of the horrible yet spectacular crash.

At least it was only the non-expensive parts that broke(even though it was almost all of them). It tore holes in aluminum and carbon fiber pieces in the process though... And we loosened that pole enough that you could pluck it out of the ground

dayum, those would be the pieces i'd be most worried about. The control arms and stuff are cheap and easy, still though, it sounded bad. Hope it gets running soon

Atleast Hobbykign has the cheap stuff to make up for it! I love using them for small things like plugs, wires and other electrical stuff :)

What's the motor/esc setup on yours?

Its a 4 pole 2800Kv motor running at 6S Lipo for a max rpm of 63,000 and a theoretical top speed of 164mph (that doesn't account for wind and drivetrain drag)

We're thinking of getting a bunch of pool noodles and covering them all up
